Give an Assistant access to your Account

If you need to give someone else access to login as you to UniversitySite this is easy to do.  We use the term "assist" for this.

Note: It is also possible for administrators to configure assistants for others and this can even be automated via the nightly user sync provided that the current version of the user sync tool is used with a database source (NOT Active Directory).

For example, maybe an attorney wants to give their secretary the ability to act in UniversitySite on their behalf.

Here is how you give someone the ability to do this for you.

1. Choose your name in the upper right 
2. Select Settings from the menu under your name
3. Scroll down to the Assistants section
4. Click Add Assistant
5. Type the name of the person you want to be able to proxy for you in UniversitySite 
6. Select the user when you see their name
7. That's it, no need to click save or done 

So once this is done how does the user switch to your account?

Select Switch Accounts from their name in the toolbar

Choose the name of the account they want to switch to

When finished, just click here to stop
