Background

Application Pools in IIS 7+ can be set to integrated pipeline or classic pipeline. Builds of UniversitySite prior to Sept 2015, required classic pipeline for Windows authentication. Starting in September 2015, UniversitySite requires the application pool it is running in to be set to integrated pipeline.

Resolution

1. On the web server, launch IIS Manager, find the UniversitySite folder and navigate to Manage Application/Advanced Settings:

2. Make note of the Application Pool

3. Navigate to Application Pools, select the Application Pool and change it to Integrated pipeline mode.
