How to and Why Some Courses are Excluded

Quick Answer

When you select Download All Certificates, UniversitySite includes only Courses that have generated a Certificate. Courses affected by Reciprocity exclusion rules are also omitted.

How the Download All Certificates Button Works

Before bundling Certificates, the system checks each Course for Certificate eligibility, including:

• Whether its Certificate has been Generated (indicated by the blue Certificate Icon in the Learning Activity Table)
• Reciprocity and jurisdictional exclusion rules (where applicable)
• Any compliance rule that blocks Certificate issuance

If a Course fails one of these checks, its Certificate is not included in the package.

Steps

1. In InstructorSite or LearningSite, navigate to a Learner's Plan.
2. Select Show Details to view the Plan's Compliance Report.
3. Check whether a Course/Event is Reciprocal and therefore will not have a Certificate.
4. Select Download all certificates.
5. Confirm expected Certificates are present in the downloaded zip folder.

Reciprocity Exclusions

Courses flagged as Reciprocal (see blue Reciprocity icon below) do not produce Certificates. The Learner should get the Certificate in the other jurisdiction that the Course has Reciprocity with.

If One or More Certificates Are Not Downloading:

1. Confirm that the Course's Certificate has been generated.
2. Refresh/reload and retry the download.
3. Confirm no Reciprocity exclusion applies to the missing Courses.
4. If still unresolved, contact support with specific Course/Plan details.
