New York Year-End Report Instructions
UniversitySite provides the New York Year-End Report Summary to law firms to submit to the New York Board at the end of the year. It can be reached by selecting Reports at the top of the page. Then select Year-end Report Summary for New York from the list under the CLE/CPD section.
Courses fall into 6 different types of Learning Formats. The Learning Format is listed in the left column of the Report Summary.
The number of how many courses fall into each Learning Format type is listed in the column at the right of the Report Summary.
Note: The number in the right column is not the total of all participants who took that Learning Format, but rather the total number of courses in that Learning Format that had any participants.
In the example below, the first row is for Learning Format 1 (Traditional Live Classroom Format). The 5 at the end of the row indicates the total number of courses that were in that Learning Format 1.
This 5 for Learning Format 1 corresponds to the accompanying New York CLE – Year-End Report Activity Detail. Within the Activity Details are 5 rows of courses where there is a value in the Format 1 Box. Each of these rows counts toward 1 of the totals in the Summary Report.
Box 7 lists the total number of courses for the “Other” Format 6. UniversitySite will populate the “Other” Format Box below with the description of the format.
The table below lists what different Learning Formats map to on the report.
Boxes 8a through 8d list the total number of programs offering the respective types of credit (i.e. “Ethics and Professionalism”).
These Boxes correspond to the Program/Course column on the CLE Activity Table, for each course that has a check next to the Y of that credit type.
Boxes 9a and 9b have to be manually entered on the report. They are rarely used, however.
