How to create a multi-lingual Caption file for ScormFly videos in UniversitySite

This article briefly explains how you can create a multi-lingual SRT (Caption) file so that your learners can toggle the CC option to display English or French or whatever you created.

You can create separate caption tracks for each language within the same SRT file. Each track would begin with the track number, followed by the timecodes and text for that language's captions.

Here's an example of what a bilingual SRT file might look like

bi-lingual SRT File

In the above example the first track contains English captions and the second track contains French captions. The track numbers indicate which language each track is for.

When you play the video in UniversitySite viewers can toggle the CC option to display the caption version they need.

After creating this caption file you can add it to an existing Scormfly video in UniversitySite by clicking the Video Options buttoin in the On-demand Content section of the course viewer (not editor)
