General

Picture Size Limit - To prevent Users from slowing down the system by uploading megapixel photos as their profile picture, a size limit can be set.

Note: This limit is not enforced for pictures added by User Import.

Regional Settings

Default Language - Specify the language used by default for any new Users added to the system either manually or by the User Sync.

Default Time Zone - Specify the time zone to be used for Users added manually or by our User Sync tool. It is OK for this to be blank.

Approval Settings

These are defaults for the Manager Approval settings found on User Profiles. As Users are imported, they are assigned these settings.

There are approval settings for Live Events and for On-Demand Courses. The defaults for both are Approval not required.

Privacy Settings, Social Settings, Learning Opportunities

These are defaults for settings found on User Profiles. As new Users are imported they are assigned these settings.

Custom Field Labels

Custom fields can be established for User Profiles. They are frequently used to define Audience membership criteria.
