Email logs are kept for 60 days or 50,000 messages, whichever is less.

You can use the View drop-down menu to see the email contents and you can even download the .eml file so you can open it and see any attachments as well.

You can filter this page by sender and/or recipient as well as Status which allows you to see if mail has bounced or was blocked or for some reason failed to send at all during the date range you specify.

If you DO find bounced or blocked mail and you believe you have resolved the reason internally that it bounced or was blocked you can also resend this mail, if appropriate, from the drop-down menu on the View button.

We now pull in bounce and block information from Sendgrid, our mail service so that you can both see and clear bounce and block records.

It's important to understand this so that mail gets delivered.

Bounces

Until you clear a bounce for an address, no further email will be sent to it so this is very important to remove.

Blocks

Blocks indicate that the recipient mail server rejected the email for some reason (not a problem with the address) but Sendgrid will still keep trying to send additional mail UniversitySite generates
