InstructorSite Plans Page

This page provides high level plan data at a glance as well as robust filtering and searching against both traditional instructor created (Group) plans as well as learner or manager created (Individual) plans.

Important: Your plan status should be updated automatically every 24 hours by the UniversitySite reminder service which should be running on your site's web server (whether cloud or behind the firewall).  If your plan status is older than 1 day such as mine, this suggests your reminder service isn't running. If you are in the cloud please contact support. If you are hosting your own install, please verify that the "UniversitySiteReminderService" is running on your web server.

You can click Refresh to kick off the update process but be aware that this may take 10 or more minutes to complete for some of you.

Group Plans

These are the traditional instructor created plans.

This tab allows you to filter by the standard UniversitySite properties, most of which you probably are already familiar with, so I'll only breakdown two filters that you might have questions about.

  • Visibility - this filter shows you plans that have been marked as visible in the selected UniversitySite area 
  • Status 
    • active - default for plans currently in use
    • staged - plans that are not yet ready for use or should not currently be shown to learners (no mail is sent for plans with this status)
    • retired - plans that are no longer in use and no longer appear in LearningSite 

Don't miss the three possible sort options to help you find other data you may want to know about plans

  • Title (A-Z) - Default sort
  • Created (Newest) - discover who created this plan and when
  • Updated (Most Recently) - discover who has most recently updated this plan and when

Individual Plans

Previously it was difficult to find information in InstructorSite about learner or manager created plans.  Those are now found on the Individual Plans tab.

Created filter - allows you to look at plans that were created

  • within the last year
  • within the last two years
  • within the last three years

Individual plans do not have InstructorSite plan properties such as audience, department, or tag, so you don't have filters for those, but you can still SORT them just as you do the Group plans to see other information about them.

  • Title (A-Z) - Default sort
  • Created (Newest) - discover who created this plan and when
  • Updated (Most Recently) - discover who has most recently updated this plan and when
