InstructorSite Departments Page

Departments are used as a form of security within InstructorSite to prevent other instructors from modifying or deleting UniversitySite elements you have created AND to provide a way for learners to view content created or maintained by the department that controls and manages it.

Departments require at least one department member to be useful in both respects (security as well as filter for learners).

Note: When assigning a department to a course or other UniversitySite element, you must be either an administrator, or a member of the department you are working with so that you don't lock yourself out of that element.
