Quick Start for Managers - ManagerSite

You can use ManagerSite to view and influence learning activities for your direct reports. If you have been given access to ManagerSite you will find it in the upper left of your LearningSite Navigation Bar in the Drop down menu under LearningSite

Note: You probably will NOT see "Insite"  or "InstructorSite" in your menu.  Don't worry about that, they are only for admins.

Global Search

Use the global Search Box to quickly find an employee, plan, course or credit. For best results start with the most unique word e.g. Last Name, Course Name, etc. For advanced search tips click the ? mark in the Search Box.

  • Search by employee name to view their learning achievements.
  • Search by course to see which direct reports have completed the course.
  • Search by plan to see each employee’s progress in a learning plan.

Viewing Employee Schedule

This view shows which direct reports are currently registered to attend training events by date and time. You can use this view to avoid scheduling conflicts or leaving a department shorthanded.

This example shows 3 employees registered to attend the same training event from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm on the same day.

Viewing Employee Activity Feed

This view shows the most recent learning activities for your direct reports including course completions.

Setting your Employee Training Approval Policy

You can allow your direct reports to register for events with or without your approval or choose to be notified. The same is true for videos.  You can also choose to receive their plan notifications.

Approving/Denying Employee Training Requests

If you require approval and an employee tries to take a course, they are prompted to request your approval and be given the opportunity to tell you why they want to take it. This action generates an email to you so you can approve or deny their request.

If you delete or cannot find your notification email you can always approve or deny from your To Do List.

Assigning Employee Training

Plans are made up of one or more courses.  By creating a plan, you can easily assign training to your employees and even assign a deadline if desired.  Plans also make it easy for you to keep track of their progress for required learning.

Assigning existing plans to employees

You can also choose an existing plan and assign it to one or more of your employees using the + button in the toolbar.
