InstructorSite / Global Settings / Course Settings
There are only two global settings for courses.
WARNING: Do NOT use both of these settings on one course, since it creates a lot of confusion and ends up resulting in learners not getting credit for their attendance properly in most cases. When you say a course is multiple sessions AND multiple days, to understand the total length of the class you have to multiply the number of days by the number sessions times the duration of the course and you end up with a course that is much longer than you intended :)
Multiple Sessions
WARNING: When this is enabled, the course is not considered complete until each session has been both scheduled AND attended. The most common problem we see when people use this feature is to schedule the same session twice and then no one gets credit for attending.
Multiple Days
WARNING: This feature creates ONE calendar entry spanning the entire length of the number of days you specified. As a result only ONE reminder is sent to the learner, on the first day. This ONLY works when you don't care about that reminder for the subsequent days AND when your event runs back to back days (contiguously) NOT for example, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
Best practice: Create a course as Part 1 of 3, Part 2 of 3, and Part 3 of 3 and schedule them individually instead.
